Joel Cassway of The
Note Investors Group is a nationally-recognized mortgage, real
estate and financial consultant, investor, educator and financial
planner. He has twenty-five years of professional experience in
all facets of the industry.
Joel has the unique
ability to impart his personal successes in a highly motivating, easy to
understand manner. Joel's expertise is in constant demand from real
estate boards and some of the largest real estate firms in the
country.
His first investment
transaction was a half-million-dollar acquisition of a 50-unit apartment
building that he purchased with no money down. Joel played an active
role in pioneering the development and restoration of historic urban
dwellings into fashionable townhouses in Philadelphia's exclusive
"Center City" residential neighborhoods of Society Hill,
Washington Square West, Franklintown and the Art Museum Section. He
maintains an aggressive investment attitude, continually adding to his
growing portfolio of single and multi-unit dwellings, and, of course,
paper.
As an educator, Joel's courses, "Basic Investment Techniques,"
and "Creative Investment Techniques," are among the most
popular courses being offered at Temple University's Real Estate
Institute. Over the past fourteen years, thousands of people have
benefited from his courses. Joel is a frequent guest speaker at
investment group meetings and real estate organizations, as well as
guest lecturer at both local and national real estate seminars.
Joel is the author of a series of instructional programs that include
workbooks and tapes. His programs entitled, "SuperEarnings",
"Power Negotiating," "The Numbers Game," and
"The Paper Game," are used by investors all over the country.
Joel is past president of the Metropolitan Philadelphia Real Estate
Exchangors and current member of the Board of Directors. He is the
founder of the Independent Investors' Group, member of the Real Estate
Educators' Association, and a Chapter Leader of the American Association
of Financial Professionals.
In addition to running a successful firm, Joel allocates time for
consulting, speaking engagements, and writing articles and instructional
materials on various real estate topics.
Leland von Syring has been in the note business for over 15 years and is founder and President of Charter Financial, one of the countries largest privately owned purchasers of privately held mortgages, court settlements, lottery winnings, and business notes.
Lawrence
(Larry) H. Singer, DCFS, an advertising and marketing executive for 33
years, is also an adjunct professor in the Communications Department at
the University of Buffalo, specializing in Marketing and Advertising. He
is a visiting instructor for the Pino Training Organization and he takes
particular interest in schooling new brokers in the
sometimes-complicated marketing and brokering of delinquent debt. With a
degree in Labor Relations and several years' background in banking,
Larry has been able to close some unusual negotiations with mortgages
and business notes with the unique creative approach for which he is
becoming known. He is the recipient of many awards including the
American Advertising Federation's Silver Medal and Crystal Prism. He is
listed in Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in Advertising.
